And here we are in the Message Area!  (Notice the color of my scrollbar which I mentioned on the previous page) Also notice that I have added a "text box" in a very light shade of purple, with a dark purple, double border.  See below to learn how to do this style of letter.
MESSAGE AREA consists of:
Sample Letter #1
(Page 2)
1.  Background Color - This is where you choose the color of your "text box".  I used the "eye dropper" tool and selected the light purple color from my floral background.  (If you don't want a "text box", then skip this part.)

2. Background Image - I am NOT using a Background Image, so I will not explain this section here.  This will be explained in another tutorial for a different letter style.

3.
Message Border - This is where I made the dark purple, double border around my text area.  I chose a width of 5, chose a dark purple color, then under "Style"  I selected "double".   (Under Style, you have several choices, and of course you should experiment with each style, along with the width to see what looks best.)  Message Transparency - For this letter, I left the
setting at 100.  To reduce the transparency of your "text box", you would click on the down arrow.  Experiment.....you can't
break anything!!

4.
Message Text Margins - Here we have the settings for the alignment of our text INSIDE our "text box.  On my letter, the text
comes in 10 from the LEFT side, it comes down 5 from the TOP, comes up 10 from the BOTTOM, and is 5 from the RIGHT side
of the "text box".  (This is mainly a "personal" preference.  I prefer that my text is not right next to the sides of the double lined border I created.)

5. Use Stationery Font - Here is where you can choose your font. By clicking on the little black arrow you will see all the available
fonts.  Once you choose the one you want you may then select the size.  You may also chose the color of your font by using the "eye dropper", or by clicking on the little black arrow...which will display all the colors.  Click BOLD, ITALC, or UNDERLINE if you want.  Notice that there is also an
Extra Text Styles button.  Once again....EXPERIMENT!!
How you doing???  See, it's not that difficult is it?   Ok, now let's see how I added that little flower and my site name, Diana's Designs, at the bottom of my letter.   Remember earlier I mentioned the little red button next to the Section title?  If not, look at the image below.  The Section title is Bottom Center.  (Up above, we were working in the Message Area.)  To move to, or back to, each Section, you may click on the little red buttons to the right and left of the Section title, OR you may click on the word Sections at the top and choose where you want to go.   Now that you know how to move around, here is how I added the flower and my name.  (See below)
BOTTOM CENTER

1. Use Bottom Center - Make sure you put a check mark next to Use Bottom Center.

Image - First I clicked Browse, found the "flower" which I had saved on my computer and clicked to open the image.
(Notice that WikMail will insert a location once you choose your image.) I want to use the flower as a link to my
website, so to accomplish that, I clicked
Link and when a new window opened, I typed in my website's url,
                  (http://dianasdesigns2.com).

Alignment - To have the flower centered under the text box, make sure you select Centered.

Background Color - I did not select anything here.

2.
Text - I wanted to show Diana's Designs right under my flower link...so this is where that is typed.  (You may also use
                html here.)

Font Name, Size, Color and Alignment - These all pertain to what was typed in the Text section...in this case

Diana's Designs.
So far we have completed the General, the Message and Bottom Center sections.  The only one left is the Bottom Section.  (On the menu it is shown as Bottom side (Main).    Since we used a flower link and the wordage Diana's Designs, we need to make sure Use Bottom Section is checked.  I also showed the Height as 50 to allow enough space for the flower and Diana's Designs.
We are all finished with the design of our letter!!  All we have to do now is Save As and Export/Zip it so you may offer it to others for downloading.  Before we do this, however,  it is a good practice to make sure everything is the way we want it, and to assure that there are no entries in any of the other Sections.  Simply click on each Section that we did not use and make sure things are "greyed out" or unchecked.  You may also click on View Full Screen at the very top, to see how your letter will look.  When you are happy with the way things look, you are ready to Save As and Export/Zip.
